More than a target to destroy

Carry sealed cargo, fill a station’s supply shortage or bring back rare goods. Combat contracts send you after hostile groups or along patrol routes. Investigations can uncover valuable finds or lead into an ambush. Wreck assignments may require you to defeat guards outside, then board and clear the ship. Beginner contracts also include target practice against unarmed drones.

Read the difficulty before accepting

The board distinguishes Easy, Normal, Hard, Very hard and Impossible jobs. Higher-level combat contracts bring stronger groups, veteran pilots and capable captains. Some offers require standing with the employer. Check the deadline and prepare for the objective: enough cargo room for a delivery, or a boarding party for a hostile wreck.

Earn more than credits

Successful work earns experience and improves your standing with the employer. Payment can be credits or, on some contracts, a ship module instead of cash; inspect the offered equipment before committing. Supply contracts pay money. Failure can cost reputation, so choose a difficult job for its challenge and reward, not merely because it appears on the board.
