Cut out the valuable parts

Leave your ship in an EVA suit and work directly on the wreck with a cutter. Careful recovery can uncover valuables, intact modules and knowledge toward ship or equipment blueprints. These finds are not guaranteed, which makes a promising section worth examining.

Put a Reclaimer to work

Once you can afford a dedicated Reclaimer, let it pull in wreckage and recycle it on site. This is the industrial approach: processing the remaining hull for materials, rather than searching individual sections for equipment and blueprint knowledge.

Collect what the battle leaves behind

Destroyed enemies can also leave loot containers holding valuables, damaged parts and, occasionally, intact equipment. Fly through a container or draw it in with a tractor beam. Labels such as Uncommon describe the quality of salvage valuables; ship modules use their own rarity scale.
