Read the market before you buy

Compare what stations sell with what other stations need. Stock levels and desired reserves influence their prices, while production consumes inputs and creates new goods. Check both the buying and selling price: finding a shortage is useful, but your purchase cost still matters. An offer is only worthwhile if the whole trip makes sense.

Choose a ship for the cargo

Freight takes space and requires the appropriate hold. Match your transport to the goods, then check how much the destination can actually buy. Its storage room, demand and available credits limit the sale. A larger ship helps with volume; it does not turn every route into a profitable one.

Build a working supply network

Fly deliveries yourself or assign your other ships to automatic trading. Plan around travel time and dangerous sectors, especially when a valuable cargo is at stake. Your freighters can also supply construction and production as you expand into station ownership. Mining, processing and transport become parts of the same business: the goods have to reach the places that use them.
